WHAT TO EXPECT

If you are planning on joining us for the first time, here are some things you might find helpful about our church:

Service Time

We offer a service on Sunday morning at 10:00 am. Of course, you are invited to remain afterward a chance to meet some people.

Parking

We have plenty of parking and convenient spots reserved for the handicapped and young families near the main entrance.

Accessibility

People with disabilities will find our facilities fully accessible. Our main entrance can easily accommodate larger vans and handivan vehicles for convenient drop-off/pick-up. The washroom on the main level is completely wheelchair accessible and our main floor elevator can transport the disabled to the lower floor.

Attire

We want you to dress in a manner that is comfortable for you—casual to business-casual are all acceptable.

Arrival

When you arrive, you will be welcomed by hosts/hostesses who will escort you to the auditorium and/or your children’s classrooms (children in grades 4-6 are invited to sit with you in the auditorium before being dismissed to their class).  When you enter the auditorium, you will be given a copy of “The NewsFeed” which highlights key events/information.

Celebration Service

Our service begins with a time of singing; all are invited to sing along (with the guidance of our worship team) to the lyrics posted on the screen. A member of the leadership team will pray and one of the hosts will announce upcoming events. Offering boxes are located inside the two main doors of the Auditorium to collect financial contributions from our regular church family members—you are not obligated to give.

The pastor will then give his message from his current series. You are encouraged to bring a Bible (or a digital copy of it on your electronic device if preferred) so you can follow along. Oh yes, we have free wifi on site for your convenience and assisted listening headsets too. Key points, quotes and pictures will be shown on the large screen to assist you in understanding the sermon. The service will then conclude with additional music and a closing prayer. If you would like to watch or listen any of the pastor’s messages before you come, click the “Watch on Demand” tab and browse the list of topics.  We have a stream of the service (on a wide-screen TV in the lobby) during the 9:15 am service if your child is a little fussy or needs to be actively moving about!

Children

If you have a newborn or child(ren) up to grade 2, we invite you to escort them to the nursery or age-appropriate class downstairs before the service.  Children in grades 4-6 are invited to sit with you in the service until they are dismissed during the offering. We have a dedicated team of volunteers who desire to help children grow in their relationship with God through music, scripture memory, crafts, and Bible lessons.  All our volunteers have read the “Reducing the Risk” material and (those 18 years of age and older) have submitted a Criminal Records Check. Furthermore, we provide pagers for parents (of newborns and/or toddlers) should your child be in need of your assistance. Learn more about what is available for your young family:

Guest Services

In order to answer any questions you may have, you can ask the host at the Guest Services counter in the lobby outside the auditorium.
