Andre Boersma has lived in the greater Hamilton area for most of his life and recognizes the importance and value of mentoring youth. He works with Youth for Christ/Youth Unlimited Waterdown and has a passion for seeing students reach their potential physically, emotionally and spiritually. Connecting with youth through music and song writing is one of his favourite ways to connect. Andre and his wife Rose feel privileged to be raising their two boys Immanuel, Gabriel and their daughter Angel.

Dustin and Racquel Boreland, along with their two kids, Gabriel and Raina are church planters in West Island Montréal with Church 21/Église 21, a bilingual church gathering in five locations, working to unite Québec with the Gospel (www.church21.ca). Since relocating from Halton Hills, Ontario in May 2016, where Dustin and Racquel served as church planters and foster parents, they have begun their work of making disciples, planting churches, and equipping the next generation of leaders for Québec. With half of the province calling Montréal home, they believe that to reach Montréal is to reach Québec. Dustin is a passionate teacher and has a big heart for the un-churched and de-churched of Québec. He has received his MTS from Tyndale Seminary, and is a Ph.D candidate at McMaster Divinity College. In addition to serving as a full-time mom and foster parent, Racquel is working to apply her degree in psychology as a way to provide therapeutic, Gospel-centred counselling to equip the local church.

Graham and Sharon Bulmer bring many years of pastoral, teaching, leadership development and administrative experience to the Q50 Community Church plant.  They served in Latin America as missionaries for almost 15 years, and have pastored here in Canada. 

Their passion for life is focused on their two grown daughters, a love for the outdoors, tropical birds, running, motorcycling and curling.

The Dushakov Family

Eugene Dushakov and his wife Marianna serve in Ioshkar-ola City in the Mari-El Republic of Russia. They have three children: Elisey, Eve and Vasilina. Eugene has a large ministry among the orphans, and has lately been focusing on teens in the orphanages. This summer they are having an evangelistic camp for the children who are older than 14 years of age. He has a burden for those who will soon be leaving the orphanages and will begin their independent lives. As soon as they turn 18, they have to leave the orphanage and fend for themselves.

Eugene is also involved in outreach ministries in a village seventeen kilometers away. He visits and ministers in the rehab centre and is training teenagers to minister to teenagers. On top of all this, he shepherds a small church in Ioshkar-ola City, Russia.

In January 2006, Rob & Kathryn began church planting in Hitachinaka City, Japan. They target non-churched youth through their bi-weekly Saturday meetings. As well as conducting a Sunday morning service in their home, Rob preaches at Hitachi Hope Church, and provides leadership training for men called to pastoral ministry. Kathryn serves alongside Rob and disciples student believers. Since the 2011 earthquake, Rob has been involved in relief and recovery efforts. The Flemings have three children: Tess, Graydon, and Julia.

For several years, Justus Miwanda has been working to free children, their families and communities from the damage and cruelty of civil strife, poverty and disease. He has built a primary school and vocational training centre in a town called Buikwe, which provides quality education, meals and medical care in a Christian environment to hundreds of children who would otherwise not be in school. However, he is not done. He wants to build twelve more classrooms (to house 150 students), and more dormitories.

Felix works at the Lighthouse School organizing visiting mission teams, coordinating their work projects and ministry in the community. He then organizes donated supplies left behind; distributing items to churches, schools, and future construction workers. Felix also serves students in the breakfast program. He has a passion to share God’s word and love whenever he has the opportunity.
