CHILDREN MINISTRIES

Welcome to The Orchard

That is the name of our children’s program.  The Orchard is located in the lower floor of our church.  We desire to partner with you as you seek to raise your children in a community of faith and family.  All our volunteers have read the “Reducing the Risk” material and (those 18 years of age and older) have submitted a Criminal Records Check.

See below for what’s available for your child:

Nursery

From 9:45am-11:30am we have a safe, clean, and inviting place for your baby. When you drop off your child before the service (in the lower level of our building), you will be asked to sign your child in and then be given a pager. The pager will allow a volunteer to contact you should your child need your assistance.

Toddlers

Our volunteers want you to feel that your child is safe and well nurtured when they are with us. Toddlers will sing together, and learn a Bible story from 9:45am-11:30am. The fun DVD-based teaching curriculum is called “L’il K” (www.kidmo.com ). When you come to the Toddler room (located in the lower level of our facilities), you will be asked to sign your child in and then be given a pager that will alert you if needed.

Junior and Senior Kindergarten

From 9:45 am-11:30 am your child will spend time singing, and interacting with a creative Bible lesson from the Gospel Light curriculum (www.gospellight.com ).

Grades 1-5

An Open Session will be conducted for children in JK/SK and Grades 1-3 from 10:00-10:20 am in the “Barn.” This time will consist of singing Bible-based songs. At 10:20 am the children will move to their respective classrooms for a Bible lesson, craft and scripture memory.
Children in Grades 4-5 will first attend the celebration service with you. During the offering (at 10:20 am), the children/volunteers will be dismissed for a Bible lesson, craft and scripture memory (using the Gospel Project curriculum) in their age-appropriate class of either Grades 1-3 or 4-5.

Awana (3-11 year olds)

Our Awana program takes place on Wednesday’s from 6:30pm-8:00pm during the school year. Your child will enjoy high energy games, upbeat music, and interacting with life-lessons taught from the Bible. Awards and “Awana shares” can be earned. Toys and treats may be purchased at the end of each semester with collected “Awana shares.”

Onside Sports Summer Camp

Our camp is aimed at providing your family with excellent summer programming at an affordable rate. Each day your child can expect a morning of sports, healthy snack, team talk, and an afternoon that will include on/off-site non-sport activities. Each week will end with a special off-site trip for the entire day.
