Nothing stirs so many questions as the Christmas narrative. Characters appear and disappear before we can ask them anything. So we wonder. Did the innkeeper ever learn who he turned away? Did the shepherds ever hum the song the angels sang? Did the magi realize the toddler they worshiped created the star that led them? It was a mysterious night. A majestic night. A holy night. May our “souls feel its worth” by studying “our dear Savior’s birth” because “a new and glorious morn” has come.
